Bahrain embassy in UK holds National Days celebrations

London, December 15 (BNA): Under the patronage of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in London held a series of celebrations on the occasion of the celebration of Bahrain. Its national holidays commemorate the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Islamic state founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the King to the throne.

The celebrations were attended by a number of ministers, members of the British government, Bahraini students, citizens residing in the United Kingdom, members of the British Parliament and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in London, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid. Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, members of the diplomatic corps of brotherly countries and friends of Bahrain from various intellectual institutions and British newspapers.

The ambassador welcomed the attendees at the celebrations, stressing the depth of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which extend for more than two hundred years. He expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the advanced level of joint relations between the two kingdoms. The Kingdom of Bahrain also congratulated the leadership and people on the National Day, wishing Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.

During the celebrations, the video of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, was shown to the audience, in which he delivered a speech in which he emphasized the strong historical relations that bind the two friendly countries, expressing keenness to strengthen bilateral relations. The first ceremony was held in the presence of a number of ministers and members of the British government, where the British Minister of International Trade Affairs and the President of the Bahrain-British Friendship Society delivered a speech on the relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom.

On the other hand, another ceremony was held for Bahraini students and citizens residing in the United Kingdom, where the student Yousef Al Kaabi delivered a speech in front of the audience.

The Bahraini embassy also supported the Bahraini Students Association in Leeds, by organizing a dinner for Bahraini students studying in the city, to celebrate the national holidays of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bahraini students expressed their sincere appreciation to the Bahraini Ambassador to the United Kingdom for providing support and care to Bahraini students throughout the United Kingdom. They extended their warmest congratulations to Bahrain, its leadership, government and people on the National Day.

On the other hand, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom held another ceremony for members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, in which the Chairman of the Bahraini-British Parliamentary Friendship Group delivered a speech in which he praised the depth of relations between the two friendly countries. He expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa for his keenness to develop bilateral relations between the two kingdoms, praising Bahrain’s achievements, especially in promoting peaceful coexistence.
