Bahrain Defence Force holds MAPS 2022

Manama, November 8 (BNA) The Bahrain Defense Force represented by the Royal Bahraini Air Force held today the 4th Manama Air Symposium (MAPS 2022) in conjunction with the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2022). .

The event, which was held at the Sofitel Hotel in Zallaq, was attended by air force commanders and senior experts from around the region and the world, to discuss the latest issues in the aviation sector.

The Commander of the Royal Air Force, Deputy Air Staff Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, conveyed to the participants in his welcoming speech the greetings and wishes of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. He added that the widespread and rapid spread of self-operating suicide weapons in our current world and the use of hybrid warfare through cyber-attacks that affected government, economic and health institutions in some countries, in addition to the emergence of hypersonic weapons technology capable of evading current air defense systems has become a clear threat to security and international stability, especially if these weapons fall into the hands of terrorist groups across some countries.

The RAF Commander explained that this development is nothing but steps towards future wars that our country may face, and that the integration of these technologies into armed conflicts will put pressure on political and military decision-makers in various countries. He added that this would change the equation in the strategy of military deterrence. He explained that in order to maintain security, stability and prosperity, all peace-seeking countries should prevent the proliferation or development of nuclear and non-conventional weapons.
