Manama, Jan. 3 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist militia’s hijacking of a cargo ship flying the flag of the United Arab Emirates, which was heading from Socotra Island to Jizan port in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the terrorist operation that targeted a cargo ship transporting equipment to a field hospital, describing these actions as a flagrant violation of the international law of the sea.
He stressed that the terrorist Houthi militia committed maritime piracy, which poses a major threat to the freedom of maritime navigation in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea.
She said that the terrorist acts show the militia’s terrorist tendency to sabotage regional security and stability, calling on the international community to condemn this dangerous terrorist act and compel the Houthis to immediately release the ship and its crew.
