Bahrain condemns Houthi terrorist militia’s continued attacks on Saudi Abha Airport

Manama, October 7 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the repeated, deliberate and systematic targeting of Abha International Airport in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the terrorist Houthi militia.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the targeting of the airport by a booby-trapped drone, which resulted in minor injuries among citizens and damage to the facade of the airport, in clear and explicit violation of international humanitarian law and all global norms. The vigilance and readiness of the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen to be able to intercept and destroy the drone.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the firm position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in its strong support for the efforts of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the measures it is taking to confront the Houthis’ hostile attack attempt to defend its security, stability and territorial integrity.

It called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in condemning such attacks, which pose a threat to the country, civilians and civilian objects.
