Bahrain chairs GCC Education, Higher Education Ministers meetings

Manama, September 19 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain chaired today the fifth meeting of the Education Ministers Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the twenty-first meeting of the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The two meetings were held virtually, with the participation of the Ministers of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The meetings were also attended by Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and a number of officials.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Higher Education, expressed his utmost thanks and respect to their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, for their directives to continue developing the educational process. He praised the efforts of the GCC countries in combating the Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic and limiting its repercussions on the sustainability of educational services.

The participants in the two meetings discussed a number of issues related to the educational field and took the necessary decisions regarding them.
