Bahrain, Azerbaijan hold second meeting of political consultations

Manama, February 2 (BNA): The second meeting of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was co-chaired by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Feriz Rzayev.

Dr. Sheikh Abdullah praised the strong friendship relations between Bahrain and Azerbaijan and their steady growth at all levels, stressing the importance of activating the agreements signed between the two countries and developing areas of comprehensive cooperation. He also referred to the remarkable progress witnessed in the Bahraini-Azerbaijan relations in recent years in the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples. He expressed his hope that the political consultations would further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister Rzayev praised the advanced and distinguished relations between the two friendly countries, stressing his country’s keenness to consolidate cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields, wishing the Kingdom further development.

The two sides also reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and discussed a number of issues of common interest.
