Bahrain attends 4th Arab League Regional Conference

Manama, July 26 (BNA): The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Bahrain has made important achievements in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, especially during the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

He highlighted the directives of His Majesty the King. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up and support of the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

This came during the participation of the Human Rights Sector in the Fourth Arab Regional High Level Conference for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights.

The conference was held under the title “The Impact of Crises on the Enjoyment of Human Rights: The COVID-19 Pandemic as a Model” at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in cooperation between the League of Arab States. and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Human Rights Sector Adviser Bodour Salah Abdul Aziz expressed her pride in the achievements of the Bahrain team, led by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as a global civilized model in the face of Covid-19, and its success in providing integrated health services to all citizens and residents without exception. Discrimination, including free treatment, tests and vaccinations, which contributed to the principle of “Health for All”.

She commended Bahrain’s approach to dealing with the global pandemic, stressing that Bahrain is proceeding with its pioneering achievements in the field of human rights and development in accordance with the constitution, the government’s action plan, and the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026), in light of the Economic Vision 2030 with its principles based on sustainability, competitiveness and justice.
