Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency (B-NADO) wins international accreditation

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): The Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency (B-NADO) has obtained international accreditation from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).


The agency has been accredited as a globally independent body in the field of international doping, after passing the requirements and applying all special standards.


First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praised the achievement during the reign of His Majesty the King. “The international recognition of the Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency as an independent entity reflects the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Olympic Committee in combating the scourge of doping and striving to implement the regulations and laws stipulated in the International Olympic Charter. He said the Olympic Committee and the laws of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).” B


He stressed the role of the Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency as a competent and independent body to implement the provisions of the international code related to anti-doping in the sports field.


His Highness Sheikh Khalid said, “These efforts aim to preserve Bahraini sport by making it a field for brilliance and competition free from the scourge of using banned stimulants.”
