Bahrain Ambassador to U.S. receives NUSACC award


Washington. Dec. 13 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received the “Ambassador of the Year” award granted by the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC).

This award comes in honor of his outstanding achievements and efforts in strengthening Arab-American trade relations, and in appreciation of his role in consolidating Bahraini-American relations.

The ambassador said that receiving the award reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to strengthen relations with the United States in various fields.

He said that the prosperity of economic relations between Bahrain and the United States stems from the visions of the leaders of the two countries over the decades, as the United States has become Bahrain’s largest trading partner outside the region.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted examples of cooperation, the most important of which is the creation of an investment climate in Bahrain to make it a preferred destination for foreign companies, and the launch of the US Free Trade Zone, which gives a competitive advantage to American companies.

The ambassador referred to the allocation of the sovereign right to subscriber information to the United States in the existing cloud computing centers in Bahrain, and the facilitation of the movement of citizens between the two countries through the Global Entry Program, which contributed to the promotion of trade between the two countries.
