Bahrain All Share Index, Islamic Index end trading higher

Manama, February 16 (BNA): The Bahrain General Index closed today at 1,898.94 points, recording an increase of 33.40 points over the previous close.

This increase is attributed to an increase in the consumer goods sector, the financial sector, and the materials sector.

The Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 759.16 points, up 2.91 points from the previous close.

The results indicated that 121 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 2,784,302 with a value of 902,551 Bahraini dinars.

Investors mainly trade in the materials sector and represent 53.66% of the total value of traded securities.
