Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): The Bahrain General Index closed at 1,794.47 points, recording an increase of 5.54 points over the previous close.
This increase is attributed to the rise in the financial and materials sector.
Bahrain Islamic Index closed at 760.26 points, recording a decrease of 0.75 points from the previous closing.
The results indicated that 59 transactions were made on equity with a volume of 1,349,834, with a value of 418,103 BD.
Investors mainly trade in the materials sector with 58.49% of the total value of traded securities.
