Kuala Lumpur, June 14 (BNA): Bahrain defeated Turkmenistan 1-0 to secure its place as Group E winner and qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup.
Abdullah Yusuf scored the winning goal from a penalty kick in the 23rd minute, after goalkeeper Mamet Uraz Mammadov missed Ali Madan, who was dribbling on his way inside the area.
Bahrain beat Bangladesh 2-0 in the opening match of Group E, and Malaysia 2-1 in the second match.
