BACA receives Italian Ambassador

Manama, October 3 (BNA) The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today Italian Ambassador to Bahrain Paola Amadi, in the presence of the Director General of Culture. and Arts at BACA, and theater and opera management specialist, Francesca Campagna.

The head of the authority welcomed the ambassador, and emphasized the depth of the Bahraini-Italian friendly relations, expressing his hope to launch joint projects in the coming period that would enhance the Italian artistic presence in the Bahraini cultural seasons.

The two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest in addition to ways to support the exchange of experiences in the field of theater.

The Bahrain National Museum will host an exhibition that reflects the richness of Italian jewellery.

The envoy praised the issues discussed during the meeting, especially ways to develop cultural relations between the two countries.

She also praised the authority’s openness to various civilizations and cultures, expressing its constant readiness to cooperate with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities to serve the cultural movement in Bahrain.
