Awareness workshop held on eservices and applications supporting the business community

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): Director of Communications and Marketing at the Information and eGovernment Authority, Lulwa Sami, participated in an awareness session organized by the Bahrain Business Women Association to present the latest electronic services and mobile applications that support the business sector.

The director congratulated the Bahraini Businesswomen’s Association on the formation of its new board of directors, expressing appreciation for the outstanding efforts in supporting the businesswomen’s community.

She praised Bahraini women’s efficiency, hard work, dedication and constructive role in implementing projects that develop national economies. Thanks BBS Training and Technology Committee “Women in Technology Bahrain Branch for such an initiative”

The awareness session provided an overview of the business lines provided by the authority and the most prominent electronic services that support the business environment, such as the identity card, medical examination appointments for domestic workers, residence services, and others.

The merchant application was its most important feature, which is a comprehensive platform that provides electronic services to business owners.

The recent new features of the BeAware Bahrain application were also highlighted, which included the user’s personal digital government documents (my cards), and other applications provided by the authority such as the Islamiat application, my health and the e-government Excellence Award, which confirms the information and e-government authority’s continuous efforts to provide studies and Research papers related to the ICT sector from various academic professionals.

BBS opinions and proposals were also collected during this session on how to improve the various electronic channels provided by the Authority, taking into account the requirements of the business sector.

Lolwa Sami concluded the workshop by stressing the continuity of such gatherings and that this comes within the framework of the Information and eGovernment Authority’s keenness to communicate with individuals, entities and the business sector to listen to the public and promote digital culture.
