Assistant Public Security Chief opens vessel captains course

Manama, December 6 (BNA) The Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training, Brigadier Dr. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, inaugurated the fifteenth course for ship captains at the Naval Training Wing.

It includes participants from the Coast Guard Command, the Royal Bahraini Navy, the Royal Bahraini Air Force and a delegation from the Omani Coast Guard.

The commander said the course was part of the Coast Guard’s annual training program to improve the skills of the participating personnel.

The 4-month course is divided into two phases that cover collision prevention law, maps and navigation devices, marine emergencies, first aid and ship leadership training.
