Charterhouse is working in exclusive partnership with a leading global hospitality and hospitality company who are looking for an Assistant Logistics Manager for recruitment on their Contract Based Project (January 2023), located in Doha, Qatar. The significant role will support the delivery of high quality hospitality services to a leading global event.
This major role will work to effectively set up the logistics systems and manage the accommodation services for the group, which includes sixty thousand rooms across Doha, with strategy and tactical plan in place, to meet the needs of ensuring smooth distribution and delivery at all times.
By supporting the Group Procurement Manager in the day-to-day operation of the department, you will plan and implement actions to manage and overcome the fast-paced and demanding nature of their global project, which requires new and innovative ideas.
Concurrently, the Assistant Director will maintain professional collaboration with other departments and third parties, providing strategic and operational improvements where necessary, to increase service and cost efficiencies. This leadership role will require the incumbent to provide training and support to warehouse team leaders, to ensure that regional and local plant stock levels, delivery times, transportation costs and quality are met.
Associate Director of Logistics requires a candidate with at least 8 years of proven experience in a relevant management position, in the Middle East, holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related subject, from an internationally recognized university.
The client will be looking for a candidate with experience in leading a group of team members in a fast-paced environment for a pilot project, offering high standard cost, incurred analytics for air, sea and land transportation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of creating, implementing and delivering strategic logistics, while delivering strong relationships with stakeholders.
