Asian Parliamentary Assembly grants Arab Parliament observe status

Cairo, January 18 (BNA): The Asian Parliamentary Assembly granted the Arab Parliament observer status.


And the Asian Parliamentary Assembly made this decision during its thirteenth session, which was held recently in the Republic of Turkey.


The step aims to strengthen relations between the two sides and open channels for permanent coordination and cooperation on issues of common concern to serve the interests of the Arab and Asian peoples.

Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, head of the Associated Press, said that the decision reflects strong and long-term relations between Arab and Asian countries, based on mutual respect, common interests and cultural ties.


He stressed the importance of strengthening legislative ties and joint cooperation, noting the role of parliamentary diplomacy in harnessing regional and international support for Arab issues.
