Arab Parliament Speaker highlighted Bahrain’s achievements

Cairo, Dec. 18 (BNA): The Arab Parliament strongly rejected the decision issued by the European Parliament on human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The head of the Associated Press, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, said in a statement that the decision is devoid of truth and does not resemble reality.

He expressed his full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its support for all the measures it takes to respond to the statement that serves the political determination of the external parties.

He said, “This policy, which uses human rights as an excuse to interfere in the affairs of states, has become fully exposed,” calling on the European Parliament to respect the rule of law in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He stressed Bahrain’s full commitment to international human rights standards by promoting and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens and residents.

He renewed his categorical rejection of any interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs, affirming full respect for the Bahraini judiciary and law.

He also praised Bahrain’s achievements in the field of human rights regionally and internationally, particularly in the alternative punishment law, the open prison system and other initiatives that strengthened its position.
