Amman, December 23 (BNA) The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asumi praised the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the necessity of paying attention to the fields of science, knowledge and technological progress.
He extended his congratulations to the Kingdom on the successful launch of the first Bahraini satellite “Light 1”, which made the space science sector one of the most promising sectors in the Kingdom.
While presiding over the second meeting of the second session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament, held today at the headquarters of the Jordanian House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed that this achievement will inaugurate a new phase of the achievements witnessed by Bahrain. While addressing the Arab Parliament meeting. Al-Asoumi added that the outstanding achievement is in line with the vision of His Majesty the King regarding the importance of benefiting from science to serve society, noting that the launch of the satellite comes within the initiatives aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s position regionally and internationally, as well as highlighting the aspirations of Bahrain’s youth and their capabilities in the fields of innovation, science and knowledge.
