Manama, July 28 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, received the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asumi.
The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s honorable stances in defending the issues of the Arab nation.
Aboul Gheit praised the role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in supporting regional issues and promoting joint Arab action in various fields.
He also praised the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in achieving the comprehensive development of the Kingdom and supporting Bahrain’s ambitious development plans.
He also stressed the Kingdom’s regional and international standing under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
Al-Soumi stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Arab Parliament and the League of Arab States to support regional issues and enhance the process of joint Arab action in facing regional challenges.
