Manama, June 26 (BNA) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Honorary President of the Good Word Society, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, affirmed appreciation for the cadres working on the front lines of combating the Corona virus (Covid-19). The twelfth edition of the Volunteer Work Award was dedicated to honoring Arab cadres working on the front lines, who had and still have clear contributions to their societies through their noble humanitarian works during the Corona Virus pandemic.
His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the efforts and courage of front-line workers in protecting society, pointing to the award’s role in promoting a culture of dedication and patriotism. He added that the award reflects the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the outstanding and dedicated national efforts made by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to promote the values of volunteerism as a pillar. for growth and development.
His Highness pointed to the success of the award, since its establishment in 2011, in promoting community interest in volunteer work and gaining Arab and regional attention, which reflects the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which enshrines human values and solidarity. He also praised the dedicated efforts of the president and members of the Good Word Association and all its affiliates in the service of voluntary and humanitarian work.
It is worth noting that the Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work is granted in September of each year, in conjunction with the celebrations of the Arab Volunteer Day, which falls on September 15, which is organized by the Good Word Society. In cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Union, it aims to encourage volunteers to provide innovative solutions through volunteer work, contribute to facing various challenges and crises, and promote a culture of volunteer work.
