Alba wins Volunteer Service Award by INJAZ Bahrain for second year in a row

Manama, October 24 (BNA) Aluminum Bahrain Company (Alba) has expressed its pride in winning the Voluntary Service Award from INJAZ Bahrain for the second year in a row.

The honoring ceremony was held under the patronage of the President of INJAZ Bahrain, Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Alba, was awarded for the company’s contribution of 491 volunteer hours, the highest among Bahraini companies, in 2021-2022.

Several Alba employees were also honored for their support and participation in the Injaz programs. Training Director Nouf Ahmadi received the Distinguished Coordinator Award for her role in facilitating the participation of Alba volunteers in the various programs organized by INJAZ Bahrain.

Public Relations Director Abdullah Siyadi was awarded a Certificate of Achievement (Platinum) and a Certificate of Achievement (Golden) was awarded to the Senior Events and Protocol Chief Ahmed Shukri, Operational Excellence Supervisor Manar Bahr and Human Resources Coordinator Fatima Abdul Rasoul for their active volunteer work.

“As a socially responsible corporate citizen, Alba believes that volunteering is the voice of empowered people that in turn will shape the present into a better future,” said Alba CEO.

“As one of the leading industrial companies in the region, we are proud to play an active role in the educational empowerment of Bahrain’s youth which will lay the foundation for our talented workforce of the future.”

For 2020-2021, Alba won the same award for its contribution of 482 volunteer hours, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
