Alba wins British Safety Council’s International Safety Award 2022

Manama, March 16 (BNA) Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) has received the International Safety Award 2022 from the British Safety Council in recognition of its commitment to keeping its workforce safe and healthy in 2021.

Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali said: “We are delighted to once again win the prestigious International Safety Award by the British Safety Council, as we continue our journey towards achieving our Safety, Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance objective.”

“2021 was truly a golden year in many respects as we went above and beyond to keep human capital safe in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis and closed the year with more than 20 million safe working hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI). Today we are heading towards 24 million safe working hours without Lost Time Injuries.”

The International Safety Awards honor organizations from around the world who have demonstrated their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous year.



The awards also honor organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to well-being and mental health at work.
