Alba makes history with its first ever achieved safety performance

Manama, April 30 (BNA): Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world’s largest aluminum smelter outside of China, set new safety records on April 30, 2022 as it exceeded 25 million safe working hours without wasting time. For the first time in the history of its commercial operations. This achievement came along with exceeding 25 million metric tons in total production since the company began operations in 1971.

Commenting on this highest ever safety performance, Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali said:

“Alba is the owner of its own destiny. The achievement of 25 million milestones, in both safety and production, allowed us to record in the history books for the golden jubilee of operations.

Safety and production are inclusive of one another, and these numbers reflect that our strong safety culture underlies our productivity performance. All our endeavors – safety campaigns, opening hours, visits, lectures, etc. embody our belief that safety comes first, no matter what.
