Manama, November 6 (BNA) His Eminence Al-Azhar Sheikh received the Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, today at his residence in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Vice-President of the Supreme Judicial Council, as Chairman. From the Court of Cassation, Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb stressed the role of the judiciary in promoting justice as one of the pillars of protecting rights, supporting international efforts and achieving sustainable development. He stressed the important role of the Supreme Judicial Council in protecting rights, freedoms and public and private property.
Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the efforts of Al-Azhar Mosque and the Council of Muslim Elders headed by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar in promoting the values of Islamic moderation and peace. He praised Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb’s speech at the closing session of the Bahrain Dialogue Forum and his constructive calls for dialogue and peace.
