AFC president pledged support to Syrian football Federation

Damascus, May 18 (BNA): The President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, concluded a visit to Syria, where he held several meetings with senior officials.

The AFC President acknowledged the challenges Syria faces and reinforced the AFC’s commitment to supporting the continued development of the game in the country.

Sheikh Salman affirmed, during a meeting with the President of the Syrian Football Association, Salah al-Din Ramadan, the Asian Football Confederation’s keenness to strengthen relations with the country located in West Asia.

President Salahuddin Ramadan welcomed the unwavering support of the AFC President, who expressed his gratitude for the various AFC programs available to benefit Syrian football and the Saudi Sports Federation’s desire to build on the impact already achieved.

He also met with the staff and cadres of the Syrian Football Association, where memorial shields were exchanged. Certificates of participation and distinction were also distributed to a number of employees who participated in the courses and workshops recently held by the Asian Football Confederation.
