• Reserve local supplier invoice – non-stock related, ensuring VAT compliance.
• Reserve a credit card account.
• Booking of employee expense claims.
• General accounting, filing and daily operational activities.
• Ensure credit notes are obtained from suppliers for all claims before payments are deducted.
• Booking and settlement of credit card and IOU settlement for employees.
• Reconciliation of vendor accounts – where applicable.
• Dealing with petty cash and ledgers, taking into account the tax treatment.
• Ensure that all allocated balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
• Coordinate with other departments and branches for vendor and purchasing accounting operations/inquiries.
• Handling cash, credit or check transactions with customers.
• Strict customer follow up of overdue accounts.
• Collection of checks and bank deposits.
• Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Involve management in any AR problems encountered.
• Initiation of collections on past due accounts.
• Preparing bills, bills and bank deposits.
• Facilitate the payment of outstanding bills by sending bills reminders and communicating with customers.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
• Any ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
• Obtaining a degree in accounting or finance or its equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in an industry and a similar financial role.
• Proficient in MS Office. ERP experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (proficient in English).
• Self-motivated professional.
• Can do positive attitude and team player.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to understand basic accounting/finance concepts and terminology.
• Strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail.
