AC Milan struggles again in Serie A with 1-1 draw at Bologna

Madrid, April 15 /BNA /: Able to defeat Italian league leaders Napoli twice this month, Milan has not defeated anyone else recently.

Playing mostly with the reserves ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, the Rossoneri drew 1-1 at Bologna on Saturday to remain fourth in Serie A and in danger of not qualifying for major European competition next season.

Nicolas Sansone scored for Bologna from close range just 33 seconds in and Tommaso Pobega equalized for Milan before halftime with a long-range shot that bounced off the outside of the left post, reports the Associated Press.

Milan advanced 1-0 in the first-leg match at Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Tuesday, after also defeating Napoli 4-0 in the league at the beginning of the month. With the exception of the two victories over Napoli, Milan have not won any of their other six matches since February.

Milan tied points with third-placed Roma, who hosts Udinese on Sunday, and two points behind Inter Milan, who hosts Monza later, with a chance to leapfrog their rivals in the city.
