His Highness Sheikh Abdullah revealed that the Kingdom will host the sixth edition of the prestigious aviation exhibition (BIAS 2022) from November 9 to 11, 2022, at Sakhir Air Base, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.

His Excellency pointed out that the event will provide renewable opportunities in the aviation industry as it will turn into an attractive destination for investment in this vital sector, which represents 8% of global output, provides job opportunities for more than 200 million workers and contributes $3.5 trillion in global output, adding that Bahrain is looking forward to benefiting from this industry in creating a value-added work environment through the presence of these companies in this air show.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its support for the event, and for the cooperation of all ministries and state departments to ensure its success.

In this regard, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad asked the Minister of Transport and Communications and Vice Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of BIAS, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, to sign the BIAS Organizing Agreement 2022 and 2024 with Farnborough International, based in the United Kingdom. .

On this occasion, the minister said that he is looking forward to more fruitful cooperation with Farnborough International by organizing a three-day air show in 2022, noting that the Bahrain International Investment Show 2022 is expected to witness a large participation.

On the sidelines of his participation in the International Defense and Security Equipment Exhibition (DSEI 2021), the Minister held several meetings with official delegations of brotherly and friendly countries and heads of companies, and discussed with them the latest defense developments. and the aviation industry, in addition to the ongoing preparations for the BIAS 2022 contract.
