2.4 magnitude quake hits waters off South Korea’s northwest coast

Seoul, March 26 (BNA): A 2.4-magnitude earthquake struck the waters off the northwestern coast of South Korea today, Saturday, but there were no reports of damage.

The quake occurred in waters about 65 km southwest of the country’s northwest border island of Yeonpyeong at around 6:35 p.m., according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.

According to the South Korean News Agency (Yonhap), the epicenter of the quake was located at 37.19 degrees north latitude and 125.27 degrees east longitude.
