Job Purpose Brief:
Supervising the maintenance work that takes place in the QAS engineering workshop to achieve the highest level of services through quality and safety.
Work duties:
• Allocate tasks and supervise workshop staff and technicians
• Planning workshop tasks to ensure the best use of resources
• Supporting the workshop staff in diagnosing faults and giving repair instructions
• Be a health and safety pioneer and provide health and safety advice
• Monitor and lead the implementation of maintenance activities such as regular inspections
• Preventive / corrective maintenance, modifications and renewals.
• Ensure that all necessary forms and documents (defect reports, preventive maintenance checklist) are completed
• Preparing and publishing the shift report
• Identifying the training needs of the workshop staff and assisting in facilitating training
Minimum educational qualifications:
Basic:
• High school qualification (eg, O-level, Year 10, minimum compulsory education)
• Experienced – At least 5 years of job-related experience or
• Professional certificate/diploma or university degree or equivalent (diploma type based on role)
• Experienced – At least 4 years of job-related experience
• Qualification in one of the following engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, automobiles)
• Demonstrable experience of GSE maintenance and fleet management.
He prefers:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in one of the following engineering principles (mechanical, electrical or automobile).
• Mechanical / electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic troubleshooting.
Business knowledge and skills required:
Basic:
• Can read, write, speak and understand English.
• Computer literate and proficient in all MS Office applications
• Workshop safety management.
