Ways to strengthen Bahrain-EU relations, cooperation discussed

Manama, May 4 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, held today a meeting with the ambassadors of France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, Estonia and Sweden. Slovenia, Poland and the European Union.

The Undersecretary for Political Affairs congratulated the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions on Europe Day.

He discussed with them the strong relations between Bahrain and the European Union countries, praising their steady growth at all levels.

He also discussed with them ways to enhance Bahrain’s cooperation with their countries to serve common interests.

The Undersecretary and the envoys stressed the importance of developing and strengthening these relations in various fields, especially economic, investment, security, parliamentary and climate change.

They also stressed the need to increase joint coordination between Bahrain and the European Union countries, which would contribute to raising the level of bilateral cooperation between them.

The latest regional and global developments were also discussed, in addition to issues of common interest.
