Know what kind of equipment to use
Cleaning and disassembling devices
Equip and shred cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
Equipment calibration and maintenance
Do small repairs on broken equipment
Prepare background film or “B” rolls plus live feed
Troubleshoot device problems
Interview people and create a movie clip by editing raw footage
Work in the studio as part of a production team to edit the film
Insert closed captions, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
Add computer graphics and special effects to a video
Degree or diploma in any subject
A degree in videography or cinematography is preferred
Proficiency in video editing software such as Lumen5, Final Cut Pro and Nero Video
Familiarity with different cameras such as digital cameras, professional cameras and camcorders
Excellent computer skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of different animation techniques
Fit and have attention to detail
Basic knowledge of production modes such as doing a single camera setup and in-camera white balance
