Union Berlin slumps to heavy loss; Bayern top of Bundesliga

Berlin, November 6 (BNA): Union Berlin’s tough fixture schedule finally knocked it down on Sunday as it conceded five second-half goals in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-0 defeat to Bayern Leverkusen, which made Bayern Munich top the German Bundesliga after 13 rounds.

Moussa Diaby scored two goals, and Adam Hlujcic and Mitchell Packer added two more after Robert Andric broke the deadlock against his former team right after the break, according to the Associated Press.

This is the biggest defeat for Al-Ittihad this season, after it previously had the strongest defense in the league, as only nine goals were conceded in 12 matches. Al-Ittihad’s third defeat left Bayern a point away from Freiburg with two games remaining before the league’s long winter break to host the World Cup.
