Paris, May 28 (BNA) The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, held a meeting with the head of the team responsible for the UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the use of information and communication. Technologies (ICT) in Education, Fengchun Miao, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to France and its Permanent Representative to UNESCO Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
During the meeting, the award ceremony was discussed, which will witness honoring the winners of the 2019 and 2020 leagues who were not honored due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2019 edition, titled “Using Artificial Intelligence to Innovate Teaching, Teaching and Learning”, was awarded to the winners from Brazil and Spain, while the 2020 edition, “Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance continuity and quality of Learning” was awarded to the winners from China and Finland.
The ceremony will also witness honoring the winners of the 2021 edition, under the title “Using Technology to Empower Inclusive Learning Systems Resilience to Crises”.
The number of participants in the prestigious global award is increasing from one edition to the next due to the innovative and diverse topics it focuses on. As a result, the award has been renewed for a second six-year cycle (2021-2026) thanks to its excellence and consistency with UNESCO’s modern strategies in the field of ICT.
