UN Chief urges dialogue to settle crisis in Sudan

New York, April 15 (BNA): The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Anthony Guterres, today strongly condemned the outbreak of fighting in Sudan between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces.

In a statement today, the United Nations Secretary-General called on the warring parties to immediately stop hostilities, restore calm, and start dialogue to resolve the crisis.

“Any further escalation in the fighting would have a devastating impact on civilians and exacerbate the already precarious humanitarian situation in the country,” he added.
