Turkish Foreign Minister to visit Egypt on Saturday

Cairo, Mar. 17 (BNA): Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will arrive in Cairo tomorrow on a visit to Egypt, at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry.

The visit of Turkey’s top diplomat to Egypt is the first in the past decade.

According to a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published by the Anadolu Agency (AA), “Cavusoglu and Shukri will discuss all aspects of bilateral relations during the historic visit at the ministerial level, which will come after more than a decade.”

“The foreign minister will also exchange views on regional and international affairs,” the statement added.

Shoukry visited Turkey in February to show his country’s solidarity with Turkey in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.

During the visit, he held talks with his Turkish counterpart.
