TRA paper highlights Bahrain’s readiness for Internet of Things

Manama, February 27 (BNA): The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has published a paper on the Internet of Things (IoT) titled “Position Paper on the Internet of Things”, outlining key areas that help develop security and safety. Safe Internet of Things in the Kingdom. The paper covers privacy, network and equipment security, resilience, and licensing.

“We all today already use many Internet of Things devices in our homes and offices. But IoT is set to increase rapidly to enable large numbers of previously unconnected devices to connect and share data with each other and between different business sectors. “However, many challenges remain to be addressed. The TRA position paper provides guidance to licensees and stakeholders to ensure they can fully benefit from new IOT developments in a safe manner. The Internet of Things is part of the digital transformation efforts that aim to support the deployment of advanced technologies for the benefit of citizens, residents and companies across the Kingdom.
