Tourism Minister stresses keenness on cooperation with UAE

Abu Dhabi, Feb. 7 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Serafi affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the UAE in the field of tourism. She referred to the strong historical ties that bind the two brotherly countries, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him.

The minister was speaking during a meeting she held in Abu Dhabi with UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri. The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy Abdullah Al-Saleh.

The two ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries and all issues related to the development of the tourism sector. They also highlighted the bilateral cooperation in the field of exhibition and conference tourism in light of the opening of the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center, which is one of the largest centers of its kind in the Middle East.
