London, May 13 / BNA / Tottenham revived their hopes of beating Arsenal in qualifying for the European Champions League, after defeating their fierce London rival 3-0 in the English Premier League today, Thursday.
Harry Kane scored twice – one from the penalty spot – and Son Heung-min added the other just after the break to move Spurs one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who sent off centre-back Rob Holding in the 33rd minute when the score was 1-0.
There are two games left for each team and it seems easier to finish fifth-placed Tottenham than Arsenal, according to The Associated Press.
While Tottenham face two of the bottom four at the already downhill Burnley and Norwich, Arsenal must travel to Newcastle ahead of a home game against Everton.
Arsenal were responsible for his downfall in some way, with full back Cedric Soares Son thrusting into the back post for Kane’s penalty kick into the corner in the 22nd minute.
Hold, who was already booked for Son’s pull, then opted to hold onto an elbow to fend off the South Korean striker rather than follow his path after Eric Dier’s ball over the top of Arsenal’s defence.

He looked sad when he was substituted in the 72nd minute, depriving him of the opportunity to equalize with Salah, and Conte hugged him a lot after the final whistle.
Manchester City and Liverpool are already certain to be in the Champions League next season while third-placed Chelsea prepare to join them, sitting four points ahead of Arsenal and needing to win one of their remaining matches against already relegated Leicester and Watford.
This means Arsenal and Tottenham are looking to fight for the final and it should move into the final day of the season.
