Your role and responsibilities
As a Technical Sales Manager responsible for the Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation team in the MEA region, you will be part of a dynamic team working with clients, partners, sales managers, technical sales and leaders in the MEA region to achieve software revenue targets. The focus will also include effective sales and technical sales accelerators to communicate IBM’s value proposition. This role will be based in Cairo and being fully bilingual is essential.

Your business, and that of your team, will focus on supporting our top partners to win customers’ hearts, minds, and commitment to data, AI, and automation solutions on Hybrid Cloud Platforms. You will be responsible for collaborating with IBM sales teams and partners to define, design and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions. You and your team will provide solution workshops, product demos, technical education, and proof of concepts. You will support technical escalation, design solutions and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to advance, close sales, and develop partner/customer relationships. You and your team will help the partner sales team define the value proposition of our solutions with customers.

Technical and professional experience required
You will lead a team of technical vendors assigned to the entire IBM Data & AI and automation portfolio. In this role, you will promote customer engagement to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and trust in IBM technologies. You will build a highly skilled team where inclusion, teamwork, engagement, curiosity and learning are key to growth.

Customer satisfaction is critical to retaining and increasing investment in our solutions. You will need to assign skilled and experienced technical vendors to situations where customer satisfaction is at stake in a timely manner, and expect customers to move to traditional support services for long-term success. Partner support will be appropriate from time to time.

Developing talent coverage will be critical to long-term success, and you will collaborate with local and global teams to continually empower your team. Additionally, you must lead your team in adhering to IBM’s internal policies such as asset management, business conduct guidelines, security, and others as required or provided. You must ensure that the activities required to support IBM operations are carried out in a timely manner.
