Job description and summary
Our team is a leading financial and tax policy advisor to governments, tax departments and regulators in the Middle East (ME). Work is advanced. It is technically demanding and creative, and provides opportunities to support these government bodies in balancing revenue diversification and improving revenue performance, while staying on top of the latest trends and developments in international tax and administrative matters.
We are looking for someone who enjoys technical challenges and opportunities to support government agencies on their transformative journeys to join a dynamic and expert team.
You will be responsible for building close relationships with discerning clients and working as part of a team to provide financial and tax policy services, including tax policy design, legislative review/drafting, and overall implementation of legislation. You will have a key role in presenting your engagements and interactions with clients and other important stakeholders.
Client work is stimulating and seldom routine. It provides opportunities to help countries achieve their strategic goals through tax-related measures. Work is broad in scope, including benchmarking, research and development of policy principles, support for stakeholder consultations and presentations, review/drafting of legislation, design and implementation of new processes, and provision of operational support to policy makers and departments.

requirements:
You have tax policy advisory experience or management experience ideally related to tax governments and departments.
You have solid experience in corporate and international taxation.
You have strong analytical skills, business awareness, and a flexible approach, as well as the ability to work as part of a number of client teams simultaneously.
Have experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Have experience managing projects and delegating work within a team context, while being able to work independently to drive progress.
You have strong business writing and communication skills.
Have at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
You have a professional tax or accounting qualification (such as ACA, CTA, ADIT, ACCA or a law degree/LL.
Ability to read/write in Arabic preferred, but not required/critical.
