Sustainable Development Minister receives DCO Secretary General

Manama, May 17 (BNA): Minister of Sustainable Development, Noor bint Ali Al-Khalif, met with Dima Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization.

The minister praised the efforts of the District Coordination Office in supporting digital economic development in the region and enhancing cooperation among member states to achieve the goals of the organization.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s steps in the field of digital transformation, in addition to the importance of digital technology in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

The minister expressed her pride in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leadership of the organization in its current session of 2023, which she said reflects the confidence of member states in the Kingdom’s ability to achieve the set goals.

Al-Yahya highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continuous support to the Digital Cooperation Organization and its active participation in achieving the goals it set.
