Students get a feel of Bahrain TV studios

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): Bahrain School of Visual Communication students’ wishes came true after they took an exciting guided tour of Bahrain TV studios, gained insight into preparations for a live program and watched parts of it.

The 14 students from Josh Dinkler’s Video Communications Courses 2 and 3 walked through the BTV sets, observed the control room in operation while recording a live show, and visited the archives.

“At Bahrain School, students can get a special stamp on their certificate when they take three years of video communication lessons.” Dinkler said.

For the first year, they focused on editing and visual storytelling. In Years Two and Three, students get hands-on experience in live broadcasting and video production and put all the pieces together to effectively communicate their message through video.

“At school, students run their own live broadcast program and post their episodes on their YouTube channel,” he said.

“They were quick to learn what the professionals at BTV were doing to enhance their own show and hope to implement some of the lessons learned in their own upcoming episodes.”
