stc Bahrain launches region’s first unified automation and intelligence program

Manama, May 14 (BNA) stc Bahrain announced the launch of the region’s first unified automation and intelligence program “uNOC” in partnership with Huawei.

The program is the first of its kind in the MENA region operating on a unified platform that takes advantage of the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation technologies.

The program was announced at the SAMENA Council Leaders Summit, where the program will adopt the highest level of digitization and automation in its operations to simplify and standardize stc’s operations.

uNOC will enable services such as Communication Technologies (CT), information technology, business and international wholesale to operate on a single platform with enhanced digital capabilities.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of implementing Bahrain’s agenda to embrace digitization and integrate new technologies,” said Nizar Banabella, CEO of stc Bahrain.

“By launching ‘uNOC’, we are developing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance the user experience and maintain oversight of all stc’s operations across standardization, automation and intelligence.”

“We are proud to work with our partners Huawei to continue pushing boundaries and accelerating the transformation in the Kingdom to better serve our expanding portfolio of services,” he said.

With the aim of enhancing the user experience, the integrated platform will create a streamlined process that will enhance efficiencies in all operations.

uNOC will integrate various processes such as unified service management, unified workforce management, and all online governance through smart dashboards. As a first step, the platform will focus on enhancing “zero-monitoring” including cross-domain interconnection and one-click visibility of operations in near real-time.

Currently, more than 60% of the world’s operating and maintenance (O&M) systems maintain multiple isolated OSS systems.

Operating and maintenance systems result in poor resource efficiency, slow operations, and incomplete end-to-end operations capabilities. stc Bahrain has renewed its operations by deploying it on a single and unified service management platform, with the ability to replace manual tasks with machines, resulting in high operations efficiency, increased network availability and data quality.
