Special Envoy for Climate meets Saudi CEO of NRRC

Vienna, September 26 (BNA) The Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the Supreme Council for the Environment, Dr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Issa during the 65th session of the International Atomic Energy Agency Conference.

The meeting discussed issues of common interest in the field of control and protection over radioactive and nuclear materials, and ways to enhance bilateral efforts in controlling exports, imports and nuclear materials.

Dr. Bin Dina praised the depth of the Bahraini-Saudi historical relations, stressing the council’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the Bahrain National Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al-Issa expressed his pride in the international positions adopted by Bahrain in the various forums concerned with the control of radioactive and nuclear materials, and the great efforts in preserving the environment and climate change.

He stressed the importance of uniting efforts and exchanging experiences to ensure the proper management of radioactive materials and that the region is free of nuclear materials.
