Vienna, September 23 (BNA): The Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and CEO of the Supreme Council for the Environment and the National Committee to Ban the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and Their Destruction. The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dina, Director of the Technical Cooperation Department in the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Atomic Energy Agency, met with Professor Jean Gerardo Abaya.
The meeting dealt with topics related to the peaceful uses of atomic energy and ways to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Bin Dina praised the professor’s efforts in enhancing cooperation between the Kingdom and the Agency by supporting the development programs adopted by Bahrain to achieve the sustainable development goals.
The professor expressed her appreciation for Bahrain’s continuous support to the International Atomic Energy Agency and its keenness to implement all technical requirements for program development.
She expressed her admiration for the Kingdom’s achievements, leadership and follow-up to projects despite the challenges the world faced during the pandemic, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
