Manama, May 6 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam saluted the national press, praising its role in presenting the developmental achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He praised the steps taken by the Bahraini press thanks to the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
And this came in the statement of the Speaker of Parliament on the eve of the Bahraini Press Day, which falls on May 7 of each year, and renewed cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to support the national press and enhance its role.
In the statement, the Speaker of Parliament praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Information, the Bahraini Journalists Syndicate and other media institutions.
He also praised the seasoned journalists and successive media and journalist cadres who spared no effort in practicing their profession responsibly, stressing the government’s keenness to develop university media studies.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives concluded his statement by praising the role of the national press in covering the work of the House of Representatives, describing the Fourth Authority as a strategic partner for the House of Representatives.
