Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Italian Member of Parliament Sergio Toromino.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance Bahraini-Italian parliamentary cooperation.
The spokesman stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has attached great importance to promoting the principles of peace, coexistence, tolerance and pluralism, which is represented by launching several initiatives, including the King Hamad Chair in International. Dialogue of Faith and Peaceful Coexistence at Sapienza University in Rome.
The Italian MP expressed his appreciation to the speaker for the continuous support and interest in the Bahraini-Italian relations, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in promoting these principles, and its keenness to enhance parliamentary cooperation.
