Manama, May 15 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam praised the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to direct the relevant government authorities to accept 236 retirement applications immediately. In the Khatwa Home Projects programme, on the condition that the government pays the additional contributions to ensure that the pension fund is not affected.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives praised the government’s commitment to strengthening constructive cooperation with the House of Representatives in light of the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He pointed out that the matter comes within the framework of the efforts of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to meet the needs of citizens and help them overcome all challenges to ensure decent living conditions in line with royal aspirations.
The Speaker of Parliament praised the directive of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to form a governmental committee to review the cases of 69 employees in the Step Home Projects Program and verify that they meet the pension standards.
He stressed the importance of this step, which contributes to protecting public money, and preserving the rights of all retirees, indicating that the committee was given a month to complete its work.
He said that the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister brought joy to the beneficiaries and their families, praising the government’s commitment to exploring appropriate solutions.
